Passport has to be valid for at least another 6 months but
no visa was required. You do however need a white Entry form. Ask for those
when you buy your tickets for the ferry and have them filled out by the
time you get to the border.
Insurance
Our Green Insurance Card from Europe covers Morocco and
this got checked at the border. If you don't have insurance you can buy
it at the border.
Drivers Licence
Did not get checked, but I am sure that officially you are
required to have one.
Motorcycle papers
You only need your vehicles registration papers from home.
At the border at the 'Vehicle Customs Office' you then have to pick up a
green form which you have to fill out. They basically want to know your
licence plate number, type and model of vehicle and chassis number.

How it went
On driving up to the border we passed a lot of guys trying
to flag us down, waving the white customs forms. We ignored these guys
and drove all the way to the border. Don't worry about going to far, they
will stop you. Once you stop there will be other guys offering to help
you with the paperwork. If you do accept somebody's help, you should tip
them one or two Euros not more. But the procedure is fairly straightforward
so you will manage on your own.
First take the passports and the white entry form to the immigrations
booth. There your passport and the entry form will get stamped.
Next go to the booth marked 'Vehicle douane ' to pick up a green form
for each vehicle. Once you have this form filled out, return the the same
booth and bring proof of insurance (green card) and the vehicle registration
paper. They will stamp the form and hand it back to you.
Next look around for an guy in uniform standing around not doing much
of anything. He will be the one checking all your papers and then let
you pass to the gate.
At the gate passport and green vehicle card get checked and then you are
free to go.

How it went
What ever you do, show up early and bring a lot of patience,
you will have to queue a lot. First you have to queue at the ticket booth
for the ferry, so exchange your ticket for a boarding card. Unfortunately
you need the boarding card to do the rest of the paperwork so there is not
much hope in speeding the process up by splitting up.
Next you have to go to the Customs Office to get an exit stamp in your passport.
Then you can drive out of the waiting area towards the ferry. At some point
you will get stopped and somebody will want the green vehicle form which
also has to get stamped. That's it you are free to board.
Additional Information
No fees of any kind were charged at the border. Not for
entering and not for exiting.
